Trigger Point Needling

Dr. Dave, specializes in Trigger Point Needling which offers patients a drug-free pain treatment  for all parts of the body.  Dr. Dave is an M.D. specialist who has over 20 years experience treating pain.

Effective to treat pain from:

Back, Neck, Shoulder, Sciatica, Knees, Legs, Feet, Numbness/Tingling, Headaches, TMJ, Carpal Tunnel, Plantar Fasciitis, Rotator Cuff, Tendinitis, Arthritis, Spinal Stenosis, post Joint-Replacement, and post Back Surgery, and many other ailments.

Following a consultation and examination of the patient, the problem areas are identified, and very thin needles are used to release muscle spasms which allow the muscles to heal naturally.  

Typically, weekly or bi-weekly treatments are recommended for 1-2 months until the patient is ready to wean into an as-needed basis.

 

Trigger Point Needling was developed by Dr. Chan Gunn, MD as an alternative way to treat chronic pain without using medication.  He developed the treatment in the 1970’s and has successfully trained many doctors globally since then.  Dr. Kim was personally trained by him and has used this treatment in his own practice for over 20 years.

Trigger Point Needling uses very thin needles to break up muscle tension and spasms.  Unlike acupuncture, Trigger Point Needling goes into the deeper layers of muscle where most of the problems are.  In addition, a medical degree is necessary to perform this procedure because it is considered a specialty medical procedure, therefore it is covered by most insurance.  Unlike acupuncture, Trigger Point Needling is based upon current medical and biological principles taught in medical schools and has been published in medical journals and textbooks.

We Bill for a Specialist's office visit which may require referrals from some insurance companies.
